FAQ

Please note that our training sessions take place daytime during the week as evenings and weekends are reserved for our group classes.

We are currently splitting our Behaviour Consultation into two parts.

  1. The first part is done online (90 minutes) to discuss the dog's routine, lifestyle and full behaviour history. We come up with a plan for how to best change your dog's behaviour, and fit it in with what you are already doing. During this session, we will discuss the best way forward will be for your dog in terms of follow up sessions and classes.

  2. The second part is done in person (1h), usually 2-4 weeks after the first meeting and takes place at our place (ML11 8NQ) so that we can start practising in a lower distraction environment. During the in-person meeting, you'll get hands-on feedback on your training and we troubleshoot any issues you've run into when applying your homework.

  • We require all dogs to go through private training before joining a group setting. This is to ensure that the dog and owner have a good foundation.

  • At the moment, we are only seeing dogs over 6 months for training.

  • We see dogs of all breeds and with any behaviour issue.

  • It is difficult to say how many sessions your dog will need to reach a certain goal (e.g. off leash reliability, no longer being reactive). It depends on the dog's behaviour history, the dog's genetics, the personality match between the dog and the owner, the owner's natural skills or learning speed, how much time and consistency is available to dedicate to training, and how many people care for the dog.

  • We always base the training on what the dog and the owner have already been doing, and try to fit it in the best possible way with your current lifestyle.
