Puppy Program
Edinburgh, Scotland
Our puppy program is an in-home training program, customised to your puppy’s personality and individual needs. We give you the tools to help your dog bloom into a well behaved adult.
Your dog will get our undivided attention, making it a great alternative to puppy classes.
Who are we?
Get to know your dog trainers.
Puppy training for the committed owner.
Through exercises that are easy to incorporate into your daily routine, we will show you how to shape your puppy into an attentive and polite dog. We want training to be a fun experience for you and your dog! You will learn how to read your puppy’s body language, and how to use your own to optimise communication, with the aim to to develop a strong bond based on mutual trust, respect and understanding.
As a powerful prevention for future behaviour problems, our training plan guides you through the whats and whens of socialising your puppy.
Our Puppy Program is available to dogs under 6 months old. We recommend that you take monthly sessions for the puppy’s first year to be able to troubleshoot any difficulties you may be having.
If your puppy has developed behaviour problems such as resource guarding or reactivity to people, dogs or objects, please refer to our Behaviour Consultations.
Puppy Consultation
During the first meeting, we discuss any concerns you may currently be having, and cover common issues like mouthing, separation, toilet training and more. We start some easy indoor training, and set up a plan based on your puppy’s personality.
Our focus will lie on interactions to develop a strong and positive bond with your dog, and laying the foundation for emotional regulation to prevent problems in the future and create a well adjusted adult dog.
After the initial puppy consultation, you have access to our Puppy Program Handbook and coaching sessions until your dog is 1 year old.
